Last night after dinner Jacob & I went to Sherwood Forest to look at the lights~we popped in our Kenny Chesney Christmas cd and sang as we drove through. Jacob was the photographer. Santa peeking over the fence at you~

*ice, ice baby~ very cold but I cruised along just great. Carrie and I even got in some shopping last night
*Got to be off work early and come in late, if only we had more days like this =)
*LMS dance this Friday evening, and yes I am working at this one also, poor Jacob...lol

The weekend was nice. Jacob had a sleepover Friday night with Jason and I was able to have a night cap with Jamie & Jason.
Saturday I was up and at it waiting on my sister, Jan & Juli.
Sunday was nice and relaxed, we finished our lights and I made poppy seed chicken. Jacob really enjoyed it! I hope your week is wonderful!

Jacob text me from class this morning and said the school was on lock down. I had to go by there anyway and it was from some burglary suspects that had been seen in the area. When I went up there police were all over the place...scarey stuff.

Saturday my sister was married. She had a very simple ceremony, everything turned out very nicely.

This is my cousin Brett, we are a year apart and grew up very close. I miss this guy.

We had dinner in conway after the wedding at MarketPlace with Brett, Connie, Bill, Jan & Juli.

Jacob and I decorated this gingerbread house last night. It was a last minute deal and was for my friend Starla in the Mayor's office. The house will be on display at the Capitol on December 14th, so if you happen to be at the Capitol look for Jacob's house =)

AND Toya got a new car....

Just kidding, this contraption was in front of City Hall....wow what were they thinking?

Jacob and I made what I call Peanut Butter Muffins last night, well maybe I did, I have a hard time getting him to want to bake with me. Growing up I tell ya and I guess I could have taken a picture of his face when I said we are going to bake these....lol
I got the recipe from a blog.
You use PB cookie dough, reese's PB cups and a mini muffin pan. Fill pan with dough bake accordingly and then right when you pull them out press the PB cup in the middle. I did not sample but Jacob said they were very rich!

Let's get this out of the way and move on to Christmas because the lights and music excite me so much *big grin*

I am going to try to be short and brief with this...
Good news~ The Histo is NOT back!!! YAY

I have 5 wires that hold my breast plate (chest) together. The top one must come out, it is causing bone to grow outward. January is my plan, we are going to take care of that and a few other things all at once. The good thing is they are going to repair my scar and make it hairline.
To repair my collar bone would entail a metal plate from my collar bone to my breast plate and it would make my arm a fixed joint meaning I would never lift it above my head again, ummm I am thinking not, I will just handle the chronic pain as I do now. And exercise it and get therapy on it...any kind he said physical, heat, relaxation, actupuncture, anything that helps. OF course after I heal from the surgery.

Hump Day~ now let's get over this hump ha! This will be a good day!

Just a few things~

My favorite green phone is dead and gone, there was no hope for it. I had an IT guy look at it and he said the keypad is sticking. Probably one too many beverages spilled on it...lol
This means I am carrying this ancient phone because I just can't see buying a new one right now, guess what I lost tons of numbers. SO if I never call you again this could be why.
Terrible to get a text and have to ask "who is this?"

I see the cardiac doc this afternoon. Sweaty palms to say the least, my stomach is doing flip flops. But honestly I feel much better than my last appointment with him.

I got the lights hung on the outside of my house and they only go half way down, bummer! Must finish those but could not see myself on the ladder in the rain last night. The neighbor basically called me stupid last year for being on a wet ladder.

Jacob is getting so ready for his much needed Christmas break.

A TMI post~

It has been a busy week but not much to blog about...

Making appointments with doctors and am getting geared up for my 15th surgery since 1/1/2003, yes that is 15!
8 of those were in 2003 alone, and there was the pnuemonia with a chest tube, fun huh?. Some of you know, some of you don't and to try to simplify an explanation I had a fungus in my right neck node that had tracked down behind all my main arteries and attached itself to the back of my heart, that is why I have that big huge ugly scar in the shape of a T on my throat and neck, and lovely titanium wires that hold my breat plate together. We are going to do some repairs to the scar but 1st repair some bone that is not growing properly as best possible. They removed most of my diaphram and my clavical (collar bone) is damaged from this. THEN we will move on to the mass they found a year and a half ago in the pituitary area, yes the brain. I had a spinal tap and then refused to go back, hard headed I know but I just could not do it to myself nor Jacob! The neurologist calls me all the time asking me to come back. It is time...prayers~

I found the mesh stuff I was looking for thanks to Amanda Brockinton and her stalker message, no really thanks girl, I was so glad to get your email! My instructions from the guy at the florist were to "tuck & pull" said with much laughter. Well um my method did not work nearly as well as his, but here you have it. And yes the top is crooked...lol

Jacob received his admission ticket for the ACT in the mail yesterday. It made me really stop and think how proud I was. He and I discussed what an honor this was in 7th grade and he asked a few questions. I think he may be getting a little nervous. I explained that he will do great and it is not until February and he can get nervous later, for now let's just think about Santa Claus. Yes I believe :)

We are going to HS for Thanksgiving and Juli will be cooking a very non-traditional dinner. A few menu items I am aware of are quiche, caviar (southern style), and if I know Juli I am sure salmon is on there somewhere...hmmmm interesting but I know it will be great!

I do plan to cook a traditional meal on Saturday~ come join us, seriously! See you Saturday!

I love you Kodak! My camera arrived today. I never thought I would have it by Thanksgiving, oh so grateful for the timing and the warranty :)
Weekend was very busy~CV joints on car fixed, oil changed, Della's birthday dinner @ Shogun's accompanied by Jamie & Carrie.
Christmas tree up, lights 1/2 way up. I am getting so excited.

Jacob received a letter Friday that he has been chosen to be a lifetime member of the University of Arkansas' lifetime Gifted & Talented Program. You are chosen for several reasons~ being in a Gifted & Talented Program, high test scores, honor roll or being chosen for the Duke University Talent Search. Jacob was selected for more than one of these reasons. Makes a mother so proud!
