WBW~Way Back Wednesday

Jacob received this horse pillow thingie for Christmas one year, we named him Yankee. Jacob did not have much interest and I would try to get him to use it as a pillow. Wellll somehow I started using it as a pillow and it got to where I could not sleep at night without it...lol
I slept with this thing until the tail fell off and it had holes in it, I even went as far as to have someone sew it up and make repairs. Finally I was forced by someone else to toss it! We still laugh about this and Jacob brought it up the other night and was poking fun about it....good memories I guess you would say :)
Now off to enjoy my day off! Happy Veteran's Day!

Last night was a much needed night of Bunco @ Lesa's, I won most losses....lol

The above picture was my bathroom on Friday. I had seen enough of this pastel shower curtain to last me a lifetime! I do not like pastels, never have, but it seemed fitting with the lovely green tile...lol. Seriously the picture on the wall is has purple iris in it...yuk!
So this is my bathroom on Saturday. I still have much to do and have some black & white art to frame but I like. The cabinets are still open a little because the paint was still tacky. But it is change...
I needed a change and this is my bathroom on Saturday

Saturday I was trying to keep my mind off the fact that it had been 19 years that I lost my Mom. Seems like yesterday yet seems like so long ago. It pleases me to know that Jacob got so much of my Mom's wonderful personality and really looks so much like her. I plan to scan a pic soon and show you just how much!!

Things work out, they just do! And they have!
Today I am so grateful, and very grateful that I am surrounded by such wonderful people that are always there for me. To hear me cry, to cry with me, to hold my hand, to laugh with me...to travel this journey together.
I love you all!

Thanksgiving 2008, making smores~

I love you Jacob! I say it many times a day, and even as a teenager he always responds...

I have my fingers crossed and am saying a prayer on some things...I am hopeful!

So much I could say...I am up against some major decisions right now that have my emotions upside down!

Halloween I left Jacob (for the 1st time) with friends to have fun so I have no pictures. I went to work the p/t job....all I can tell you is waiting tables is NOT for me!
On Friday night we were hanging out at Leah's and we got ghosted...the kids thought it was really fun. The pic is goofy but I made them do this...haha

Today is Crazy Glasses Day at school for Red Ribbon Week. Jacob wore his helmet goggles....he may need them at the football game tonight in all this rain. I just got an email that at this time there has been no discussion of a cancellation.

With the LR Zoo being a City department I had this visitor at my desk yesterday. That is a blue tongue skink....ewwwww

WBW~ Way Back Wednesday

Our neighbor, not the burglar but the one we call Drisdale, let his child be a computer for Halloween. The child is older than Jacob and in 6 years we have NEVER seen him outside alone and have probably only seen him out maybe 10 times and that would be pushing it....at any rate Jacob insisted on getting this from their trash pile. He really can be a ham!!!
Not much going on, I still have so much anger about the burglary, so much! I miss my laptop so much.
The weekend was nice we did not t do much of anything and I enjoyed it.
This week is drug free week at school for Jacob and today was crazy sock day, ummm I was NOT getting a picture. I guess he has had it with my picture taking!
And a big shout out to Heather for letting me use her camera indefinitely!

After the game we made an attempt with a poncho to keep the backpack dry.... This is at the corner of the field, I had to walk through this to go sign him out. Jacob then rode home in a towel I had stopped and borrowed from a friend that lived close by prior to the game. The lady at the Taco Bell drive-thru gave me some strange looks....lol

Needless to say we lost 14-0. The ball was so wet it was just slipping out of hands.

This kiddo cracks me up, he was just singing away to I Love A Rainy Night...funny!

• Looks like I will be sitting through a football game in Cabot at 5:30 today no matter how much rain, the email said the game is on unless we have lightning and we do not.
• I am exhausted. I have taken on a 2nd job of waiting tables at my favorite little local place. I will not be on the schedule but will pick up shifts as needed. I have trained twice this week and boy am I tired!
• Jacob is going to take his hunter's ed test so he can go hunting in the next few weeks.
• I am so ready to carve a pumpkin and hope that we can fit that in this weekend.
• Jacob has a fall church camp the weekend of Halloween, he is undecided if he is going but I sure hope he does.

UPDATE: so I gave his mother the detailed list last night...he still claims he did not take the Xbox whatev! But he is still being charged with it and agreed to replace it. Oh and he claims that he had left all the other stuff in a blag bag on my back patio last week, yea right!!
Annnnd he sent his apologies & she wanted to let me know he had been going to church in jail.


So the burglar boy had court this morning. After much back & forth the Judge issued a no contact order on Jacob & I and told him "if you so much look at them, I will have you back in jail so fast your head will spin."
He has until 12/2 to produce or replace my stuff (restitution) at which times he goes before the Judge and likely if he has made restitution to me (via his mother) the Judge will reduce him from a felony to a misdemeanor...we shall see.
But I dare him to step in my yard, dare him!
When they brought him in he was trying to look at me and mouth out I am sorry....yes dude you are, yes indeed!!!

1. I love candles, many kinds of candles. I don't really have a favorite but right now I am burning Pumpkin Spice that was a gift from a friend, it is wonderful!

2. Football, oh how I love football. My favorites are the Oakland Raiders (do not say a word..lol), the Arkansas Razorbacks, and of course Jacob's team the Lakewood Cougars.

3. Bottled water, it is a MUST at my house and we dare not run out. I am not a fan of flavored water, just regular plain ole' bottled water. It is the 1st thing I reach for of a morning!

4. California Rolls, and hey I am venturing out and trying other things but I could eat california rolls every day! Jacob is hooked as well.

5. Lipstick/lipgloss, nothing fancy but I do NOT like my lips to be naked...lol

arrest made!!!

The 20 year old boy that lives next door to me with his mother was arrested & charged this morning for burglary to my home....
the leaf blower he had pawned & the battery jump box thing was on his property. Now for the other things there is reason to believe that he may have placed it in my trash can after his mother told him to return it (his mother that would NOT look me in the eye yesterday, now I know why...she knew!!). Jacob has said that the trash was extra heavy when he took it out at about 11:00 last night when we came in from the fair. This could have also been the rain, oh how I hope so!! I would much rather have his Xbox than the blower and jump box....

I have had a few emails of people asking me how in the world???

I would often tie back same said windows like such and leave them like such for days (before the room was painted red)

by looking in those windows you could see the xbox, this is where Jacob sat to play..

the laptop sat over here and you can see in this room as well by looking in those windows...

I know I just drew it out how to get in or what have you, but hey if someone dare they should come on in....I am ready!

Update...

The detctives have located my leaf blower at a pawn shop not far from my home, you ready for this................................................................................................................................
It was pawned by my next door neighbor last week. SO they got that out of my building (I say building it is a storage room attched to my home, much like a laundry room) last week then gained some confidence and entered my home on Sunday night!!

Arkansas State Fair 2005
and this may be the end of my blogging because Jacob may likely choke me for this pic..hahaha!

We were gifted a VIP packet to the Fair for tonight and we will be doing things like above but I highly doubt Jacob will be willing to milk an artificial cow!?!?!

Sunday=Funday

Sunday we had an appointment with the giraffe at the LR Zoo to go in and feed them. We took Leah, Jenifer, Aidan, Hunter & Hudson and we all had a blast! We laughed so hard at the monkeys and the show they put on...shew they can be really gross!!
These pics were on my camera and laptop, both of which are now gone so Denise emailed them to me.

Back to the weekend and before the burglary...Saturday I hung out with Denise and watched the game. Carson & I had some fun times goofing off!!
