This is what you do.......

After 8th grade football practice! Jacob practiced with the 8th grade team and was assigned a locker, pads, helmet and that other good stuff and a photo taken also, not sure what that was for. He was wore out and yes he is the shortest 7th grader out there, some of these boys are TALL!
One of those moments where you wish you could be with them, you know when he first walked in that locker room, oh well gotta let them grow up ;)
Bailey called yesterday and wanted to come spend the night so he chilled with Jacob.

Bobby's surgery went well and they repaired the artery, tendons & nerve all at once. A lengthy surgery but it went well.

Prayers for Bobby

Please say a prayer for Bobby. He is one of Jacob's cousins a.k.a "The Boys"
He is here from OK and had to have emergency surgery night before last and is having another one as I type this.

Look Mom no glasses

And here you have it, contacts!! Jacob did great, just as I expected. This morning was a little tough but he got it, or better yet I did and the whole sticking an object in his eye freaks me out. I could have never worn those things. Jacob was in bed early and up early trying to get adjusted for school. And maaaaaaybe the fact that he & Deven stayed up until 5 a.m. the night before made him fall out while reading his book. I did tell him it was the last night to party this summer =)
So this afternoon Jacob is going to football practice with the 8th graders, he is only 7th grade but I think he needs to get geared up. I don't have much details (just got my info this morning) about school ball but we are now the Lakweood Cougars.
I am gonna miss the Twisters days!!

Saturday Daniel invited Jacob to Playtime Pizza. Jacob said it was a really neat place~

Lots to do this week to get ready for school next week, I can't believe it is that time.
Jacob and I did some shopping yesterday he has to have 2 AP English books read by Monday and we did not have neither, and nor does Books A Million. I think everyone forgot to read these over the summer and now they are out. We did manage to find one of them.

A birthday shout out to my friend Charlaine (a.k.a North Pole Mama on my links) who lives in Alaska now. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL!!

Tomorrow Jacob gets fit for his contacts. He is so excited.

Have a great week!

Happy Camper

Jacob and one of his buddies from Camp. That is their cabin in the background.
This is from where I sat during the closing. Absolutely beautiful!

Singing... This just melts my heart. They built such a community.

And yes they wear anything at camp, check out Jacob's shoes. I thought maybe he had an injury, but no just in a hurry...lol

Cabin B-1 and the last year for it. They will be building a new one before the next Camp.

A big thanks to Jamie & Kaden for riding with me. We stopped at Ruby Tuesday's in Conway on our way back, one of Jacob's favorites!
