It is also time for the State Fair. We will be going providing that Jacob can get a few things in order. Today I have already met with a Principal, a Coach and an English teacher. The meeting was at my request , not there's but at any rate I hope we are now all on the same page.

Monday Monday

So last week Jacob informed me that he had been chosen for the 1st string team, 1st string is what I am calling it not sure what they are calling it. Jacob stays real confused this year about football stuff, but hey regardless he was chosen. Today he will try out for center position which is what he is used to playing. You would think these coaches would ask....have you played before? what position did you play? something!
But nope they don't.
I know another Twister picture, but I love them =) The weekend was nice. Kind of uneventful, we spent lots of time with The Woodall's, we even had a sleep over, thanks for having us.

Jacob's Big~

We met with Jacob's Big through Big Brothers Big Sisters yesterday. Things went well although Jacob was very sleepy and could not stop yawning. He is a local LR attorney and they have an outing scheduled for next weekend. I also work with his father, small world eh? If you ever think for one minute that your kids don't pay attention let me tell you otherwise. Every morning for years now after Jacob's feet hit the floor I say good morning~ I may sing it , I may say something silly, you just never know. Well Thursday morning I was in a hurry and he had gotten up and was milling around and he came to me and said "well good morning!" in this very stern voice as to why haven't you spoken to me yet.
I was slacking and he did not care for that!

After dinner Frederick and I managed to get him fired up a little, right before bed time. I am sure Dad appreciated that!

In good news~ Big Brothers called yesterday to say that Jacob may have a match, we will know more today =)

In other news I had the most emotional day yesterday since my mother's death. We all have something in our past that will rip us apart and it got me it really did! Just to vent....

Bethany & Pam came to visit, it was a nice break from my all day cleaning.

Bethany played in my jewelry box and had on every bracelet I owned =)

I had bought this dress for Bethany during some bargain shopping, it has some nice smocking on it. We also got her fixed up with a red ribbon for her Halloween costume.

Bailey's Razorback party was great! Can't say that for the Hogs but the party was nice! Happy Birthday!

This is how Jacob came in from school Friday. I was glad to be there and just happen to be home taking care of some business, and yes it is all taken care of! New helmet~

The end result was not so good. The boys played 4 games and they were divided up into groups. Jacob is not so pleased with his group and I noticed him on the field giving lots of "come on boys" he is such a team player. The weather was beautiful~

Hooray for Friday!

It has been a long week, maybe the catching up from the birthday parties.
Jacob has his 1st school dance tonight, and I have been asked to help =). At first he was like um no, but then he loosened up and said "you will not bring that camera"
Maybe I can sneak it in.

Jacob also has his 1st Jr. High football game in the morning. Football this year is different, we have been used to Twister ball where there were A LOT less kids on the team and Jacob was very used to playing center position , he misses it. The change has been kind of hard. They have so many players and just one team....
We miss Twister ball! Go Cougars!!

On Grey matter...

I was tripping on the opening scene of Derek being dead, that was a way to keep ones attention. The icicle scene was a bit much & I do not want Izzie to hook up with Alex. Oh and the military guy might just be able to put Cristina in check...lol

This is a quarter, you do not swallow these...lol

The school nurse called this morning because Jacob had swallowed a quarter. "I just put it in my mouth and it slipped"
I dunno don't ask me but the principal REFUSED to let him stay at school. Said she had this happend 3 years ago and the student had to have surgery. Doc said he should be fine, just keep a close eye with lots of bread and water.
Lesson learned = keep quarters out of your mouth!!!
