Super Bowl 2010

Friday night Kathy and I headed out to Juanita's to see some cool cats we grew up with and went to Junior High School with. The guys are in a Christian Metal band called Living Sacrifice. They tour the United States and we have not seen them in 20 some odd years. We all lived in the same neighborhood and were close back in the day.

runnin' a muck!

My nephew Bailey came to get iced in with us and we had a nice weekend. Kind of non-productive but nice.

See these boots...Muck boots to be exact, well they are some pricey things and after a complete and total meltdown we hitched a ride to Gander Mountain and the boots were purchased. Let's just hope for that price they fit next year!!!

Friday night was a night on the town with some of my girls and the rest of the weekend was spent with Jacob, just what I needed! Nevermind the wet spot on my shirt, someone had splashed their drink on me. It was a fun night!

Things have been busy but not with anything in particular....
~Jacob's grades have come up some and for this I am grateful
~I am on week 3 of calorie counting, going pretty well I must say
~Job change is going well

Have a great week!!!

bball anyone?

Jacob went to see these guys last night with his Big. I thought it was neat because I remember seeing them as a child. I also remember doing a tap dance routine as a child with a basketball and mine rolling off the stage...lol. We had the red, white & blue knee high socks and all :)

Jen O's Birthday~

Saturday night we celebrated Jen O's birthday. We have several Jennifer's in our group so they all have a nickname...
We started out with sushi and then danced on into the night. It was a great night minus the rain that made my hair a mess!!!

this pic cracks me up!!!

very random

  • 2010 has seemed rush rush to me, nothing in particular but boy have I felt rushed.
  • I have cooked deer chili, deer stroganoff, deer tenderloin and Jacob has seemed pleased with each.
  • Jacob is back to school after the holiday and is rather slugish but he should get back on track by next week
  • I am dieting and ready to hit he gym hard, I had another round with strep and ear infections last week so I am trying to get over that before I start with the sweating, my ears still hurt a little
  • I have a new job as of this past Monday, I am now the assistant to the Assistant City Manager, same department with the same peeps but a new desk and some new duties...
  • I have not been in a blogging mood much and I often wonder if anyone even reads it, I guess you would call it a blog rut...for example it has taken me all day to get this post done.
  • I am however looking forward to a fabulous 2010, I have some goals and I do plan to stick with them!

Not so much!

Does he look excited to go back to school today? Not so much! and these shoes, well they were a Christmas gift that he asked for out of the Journey's catalog. When he got them and opened them he was unsure....within 24 hours that had changed and they are a hit!

and this, well I dropped the meat off for processing on Monday~

I want to do this night over again :)

Party Of The Year....Period
New Years Eve 2009
North Hills Country Club
It was an awesome night spent with some awesome friends!

we had messy tables.....

and we had people under tables......

But most of all we had a blast!!
First blood~ Jacob got his 1st deer yesterday morning while hunting with my bil in Hamburg, AR. Now this poor deer is in an ice chest in my car ready to be taken to the meat market on my lunch hour. He is back out to duck hunt his afternoon. I am blessed that he has had 2 wonderful guys to spend the time taking him hunting. He loves it and I am so grateful.
