Jacob received his admission ticket for the ACT in the mail yesterday. It made me really stop and think how proud I was. He and I discussed what an honor this was in 7th grade and he asked a few questions. I think he may be getting a little nervous. I explained that he will do great and it is not until February and he can get nervous later, for now let's just think about Santa Claus. Yes I believe :)

We are going to HS for Thanksgiving and Juli will be cooking a very non-traditional dinner. A few menu items I am aware of are quiche, caviar (southern style), and if I know Juli I am sure salmon is on there somewhere...hmmmm interesting but I know it will be great!

I do plan to cook a traditional meal on Saturday~ come join us, seriously! See you Saturday!

I love you Kodak! My camera arrived today. I never thought I would have it by Thanksgiving, oh so grateful for the timing and the warranty :)
Weekend was very busy~CV joints on car fixed, oil changed, Della's birthday dinner @ Shogun's accompanied by Jamie & Carrie.
Christmas tree up, lights 1/2 way up. I am getting so excited.
Blogger will not let me post any photos, maybe tomorrow...

Thanks to everyone who hauled me around or loaned me a vehicle while my car was being repaired.

Jacob received a letter Friday that he has been chosen to be a lifetime member of the University of Arkansas' lifetime Gifted & Talented Program. You are chosen for several reasons~ being in a Gifted & Talented Program, high test scores, honor roll or being chosen for the Duke University Talent Search. Jacob was selected for more than one of these reasons. Makes a mother so proud!

CMO Potluck 2008~ I spend 8 hours a day with this group, a few missing, and I am thankful for them. I could not ask for a better group to work with!

Last night I made my annual casserole for our work potluck today. And I took my annual pic...lol minus the marshmallows.
Carrie stopped by for a minute and yes I mean a minute.
She was able to meet our roommate Mike.

Jacob and Mike had been working on some science homework together while I was cooking.

And my casserole, I made a baby bowl too.

And guess how I took these photos? Toya loaned me her camera =)

I did receive an email from Kodak yesterday that my camera had been received and was in line for repair, oh oh oh please hurry!

Happy Tuesday~

I am in the best mood today! Maybe it is the Christmas music and the excitement of the decorations.
Or maybe it is that I have something on my mind that makes me smile, it's a secret and I will never tell, but oh it makes me smile.

Decisions as to where to put this huge (not!) tree of mine because the front room is now the living room.
I am going to get some major filler this year, I promise, I want that net looking stuff and am on the hunt.

On this Monday morning I know one thing...I am blessed! I am also very grateful!

Weekend was nice, lots of time with Bailey, Jermain Taylor fight, mexican chicken, lots of company. Jacob went out Saturday afternoon with his Big to Iriana's for some pizza and a good visit.

Bullets for today

• Broken camera on it's way back to Kodak as soon as I can get to the post office. Sad day it was for me to find this favorite thing of mine like such. Bear with me as I may use some old photos while my camera is down.
• Sinus meds for the household, weather change and Jacob don't mix!
• Held yet another conversation with a doc about children & sleep. It is so very important! Why do people think kids can just stay up until whatever time they fall out?
• Roommate in and settled. Yep I have been looking for a while and Jacob is pleased with the choice I made, he thinks he is a cool guy.
• Rain = yuk
• Huge Science project due by January. A complete book with table of contents, glossary, chapters, photos, etc. This will be on skeletal, muscular, digestive and many other body systems. We have a plan.
• Thanks to Jamie for taking Jacob bowling, glad I could join and nope no pictures. This is when I discovered the camera was broke
• Thanks to Marsha & Matt for having Jacob for some 4 wheeler riding, hangin out and church on Sunday.
• I am kind of diggin the Christmas decorations thus far, gets me in the spirit.

Do you see my feet sticking out from under the bus? They are there!

TGIF I am so glad it is Friday! The music mood for today is Def Leppard, just rock with me ;)
I must set my mood as it is all a frame of mind...
I set it for good mood today, extra good that is!

18 years ago today was a bad day, worst day of my life. I begged, I pleaded, nothing could be done... I miss you Mom!!
