I forgot to take pictures during the ball game, here a few after and it was about 10:30 and Jacob was tired. jacob got another hit to the fence, last hit of the ball game and it was caught by right field, darnit!

It was a good game. This makes our 1st loss, better luck next time boys!

Today I am having a little oral surgery, yuk!

Jacob has to be at Dickey Stephens this evening for Build A Park. If you have not seen it on tv or heard it on the radio all proceeds at Dickey Stephens today go to Sherwood Sports Complex.

A very productive weekend I must say.
~Friday I got my windows tinted on the ole' Max, I like!
Nails & toes are done, yard is clean with a few flowers planted. Carpets cleaned and I did some cooking, I even made Jacob some bacon, egg, & cheese biscuits for this week. Betty Crocker huh...lol
I made it to Della & Monica's yard sale, it was so pretty Saturday.
Saturday evening had a couple of cocktails with a group of girls.
Sunday Kim, Pam & Joe all stopped by.

Jacob and I went to the mall Saturday where we ran into the boys. Jacob was off to I-30 speedway with them and a sleep over. And of course riding~ 4 wheelers that is. Jacob also started his 1st layaway with an off road helmet and goggles. My elephant ears are peeking through...

~The Red Sox (Jacob's baseball team) are 3-0, let's keep it up boys. Jacob has hit the ball to the fence twice now. I walked up to his game last night and he was already batting, right as I looked he popped that ball. Wish us luck for Thursday night. Pics coming soon.

~I had a very busy weekend helping Frederick with the "party room" at the Peabody

~Jacob went to Memphis with the Brockinton's to the Memphis Zoo. Thanks for taking him! Denise I would love to have just one picture =)
Jacob bought me a silver dolphin necklace while he was gone and it is precious. Such a sweet heart always thinking of his Mom.

~This week Jacob is working at the Public Defender's office through his school. He was chosen for Vital Links and will work half days this week and spend the other half preparing a presentation on his job duties. Starting him young..lol

Good Ole' Monday

~Weekend was nice although it was a bit cold. Jacob spent Friday night with Jeremy and they went to a Twisters game. Thanks for the invite. They spent he day Saturday at the parks, lakes & The Old Mill.
Somehow Jacob ended up wet, hmmmm
Ballgame scheduled for Saturday morning was cancelled due to the fields being wet. We are to play tonight. GO RED SOX!!

~Yesterday I went to see Della & Monica's new house while they signed their final inspection papers. They treated me to dinner afterwards. Thanks guys!

~I have a BUSY week ahead as well as Jacob. Today he started his Benchmark test, it is early to bed all week, not that we don't already do that =). Baseball games, I will try to get photos.
Work will be busy this week, specials meetings as well as LR City Hall is having it's 100th birthday 1908-2008.
I am also helping out a little with an event a few evenings later in the week.

~On the project mentioned below Jacob got a 95. Way to go and thanks again Juli!

You've got mail

As I have mentioned before Michele is the high school cheerleading coach at the school she teaches at. In addition she coaches the Scream Team (pep club). In the mail today I got cheer shoes, I promise I will do a cheer for you ;)

Jacob & I both got lots of Locust Grove t-shirts and Jacob got a check for new shoes.

We had practice last night and the boys got their uniforms. No more practice this week with the rain but we have a game Saturday morning in J-ville.

~Jacob is back on the Honor Roll. All year he has had a few C's holding him back and he has brought those up. WAY TO GO JACOB!!! You make me so proud.

~Friday night Jacob spent the night with Jeremy and they went to a Traveler's game. As always thanks for having him!

~Jacob and I got the yard mowed and put new mulch around the fountain and put out the frogs, they make me smile.

~We start back at baseball practice tonight in an alternate area. Maybe we will have games this weekend and possibly even try to finish up the tournament we started. This will have to take place at another ball park.

~It's Monday, have a wonerful week!

ALL FIRED UP!

Last Thursday night the coach called at 8:50 to inform me that we have a tournament and to be at the ball park Friday at 7:00, with a bunch of shopping as the uniforms were not in yet. It was misting and nasty and about the 5th inning and Jacob was still on the bench (football is our better sport). It was Jacob's turn to bat, I had made it to the car as the rain was falling but I was parked at center field, Jacob hit the ball to the frnce and it rolled under so they stopped him at 2nd! He did score the 1st run of the game and was then put in to play. I was so proud of him =) The rest of the tournament was rained out. That will probably make for a busy week!

The Zoo...it was such a pretty day for the Zoo. I think most of the animals were sleeping or better yet sun bathing.

Spring break was nice and relaxing. Jacob and Deven had a lot of video game time. Not sure what type of exercise the kids are doing here with the exercise ball but hey whatever works. This was the day we saw Alvin & The Chipmunks. Now that was cute movie!
