wet much?

After the game we made an attempt with a poncho to keep the backpack dry.... This is at the corner of the field, I had to walk through this to go sign him out. Jacob then rode home in a towel I had stopped and borrowed from a friend that lived close by prior to the game. The lady at the Taco Bell drive-thru gave me some strange looks....lol

Needless to say we lost 14-0. The ball was so wet it was just slipping out of hands.

This kiddo cracks me up, he was just singing away to I Love A Rainy Night...funny!

• Looks like I will be sitting through a football game in Cabot at 5:30 today no matter how much rain, the email said the game is on unless we have lightning and we do not.
• I am exhausted. I have taken on a 2nd job of waiting tables at my favorite little local place. I will not be on the schedule but will pick up shifts as needed. I have trained twice this week and boy am I tired!
• Jacob is going to take his hunter's ed test so he can go hunting in the next few weeks.
• I am so ready to carve a pumpkin and hope that we can fit that in this weekend.
• Jacob has a fall church camp the weekend of Halloween, he is undecided if he is going but I sure hope he does.

UPDATE: so I gave his mother the detailed list last night...he still claims he did not take the Xbox whatev! But he is still being charged with it and agreed to replace it. Oh and he claims that he had left all the other stuff in a blag bag on my back patio last week, yea right!!
Annnnd he sent his apologies & she wanted to let me know he had been going to church in jail.


So the burglar boy had court this morning. After much back & forth the Judge issued a no contact order on Jacob & I and told him "if you so much look at them, I will have you back in jail so fast your head will spin."
He has until 12/2 to produce or replace my stuff (restitution) at which times he goes before the Judge and likely if he has made restitution to me (via his mother) the Judge will reduce him from a felony to a misdemeanor...we shall see.
But I dare him to step in my yard, dare him!
When they brought him in he was trying to look at me and mouth out I am sorry....yes dude you are, yes indeed!!!

1. I love candles, many kinds of candles. I don't really have a favorite but right now I am burning Pumpkin Spice that was a gift from a friend, it is wonderful!

2. Football, oh how I love football. My favorites are the Oakland Raiders (do not say a word..lol), the Arkansas Razorbacks, and of course Jacob's team the Lakewood Cougars.

3. Bottled water, it is a MUST at my house and we dare not run out. I am not a fan of flavored water, just regular plain ole' bottled water. It is the 1st thing I reach for of a morning!

4. California Rolls, and hey I am venturing out and trying other things but I could eat california rolls every day! Jacob is hooked as well.

5. Lipstick/lipgloss, nothing fancy but I do NOT like my lips to be naked...lol

arrest made!!!

The 20 year old boy that lives next door to me with his mother was arrested & charged this morning for burglary to my home....
the leaf blower he had pawned & the battery jump box thing was on his property. Now for the other things there is reason to believe that he may have placed it in my trash can after his mother told him to return it (his mother that would NOT look me in the eye yesterday, now I know why...she knew!!). Jacob has said that the trash was extra heavy when he took it out at about 11:00 last night when we came in from the fair. This could have also been the rain, oh how I hope so!! I would much rather have his Xbox than the blower and jump box....

I have had a few emails of people asking me how in the world???

I would often tie back same said windows like such and leave them like such for days (before the room was painted red)

by looking in those windows you could see the xbox, this is where Jacob sat to play..

the laptop sat over here and you can see in this room as well by looking in those windows...

I know I just drew it out how to get in or what have you, but hey if someone dare they should come on in....I am ready!

Update...

The detctives have located my leaf blower at a pawn shop not far from my home, you ready for this................................................................................................................................
It was pawned by my next door neighbor last week. SO they got that out of my building (I say building it is a storage room attched to my home, much like a laundry room) last week then gained some confidence and entered my home on Sunday night!!

Arkansas State Fair 2005
and this may be the end of my blogging because Jacob may likely choke me for this pic..hahaha!

We were gifted a VIP packet to the Fair for tonight and we will be doing things like above but I highly doubt Jacob will be willing to milk an artificial cow!?!?!

Sunday=Funday

Sunday we had an appointment with the giraffe at the LR Zoo to go in and feed them. We took Leah, Jenifer, Aidan, Hunter & Hudson and we all had a blast! We laughed so hard at the monkeys and the show they put on...shew they can be really gross!!
These pics were on my camera and laptop, both of which are now gone so Denise emailed them to me.

Back to the weekend and before the burglary...Saturday I hung out with Denise and watched the game. Carson & I had some fun times goofing off!!

I have had none!! We turned out the lights just like they were Sunday night...it is pitch black and someone had to know exactly where they were going to get each item. They also went in Jacob's room and took his money off his dresser and a light HAD to be turned on to even see it. So they knew he often times slept in my room, he had fallen asleep while he was making out his Christmas list Sunday night and I was watching Brothers & Sisters.

Robbed!!!

This morning I got up to shower and was running early with my time..I then went to computer to update my fb and WHAT? My laptop was not there, I wake up Jacob and he discovers his Xbox is gone. Then we discover my camera is gone from my kitchen table, my camera that was sitting on top of my car keys. Then we discover the leaf blower is gone. Yes someone came in while we were sleeping and took these items, disconnected the Xbox from the 42" flat screen I won but did not take it and I am scared they will come back.
There are several reasons to think it is the 20 year old boy next door that just moved in with his mother.
And no I have no renter's insurance....
Roomie moves, furloughs at work and now this!! Jacob is DEVASTATED!!! He cried all the way to school!
I am looking for used computer, Xbox and camera I guess, so if you know of any for sale let me know.
I already miss my cheapo camera sooooo bad!

Green hair and all! So we found out today at work that we will be required to furlough...that means taking leave without pay. No so great right after I just lost the roomie...just say a prayer would ya??

7 things about me you may not know:

1. I am shy when it comes to the "about me" sections of any networking site, I always wish someone would do it for me, so this award may be difficult....
2. I twist/twirl my hair, mostly when I am sleepy but I do it and have since I was a baby. My mother & grandmother would put socks on my hands in hopes I would stop...it did not work.
3. I had 8 surgeries in 2003, the last being the same procedure as open heart.
4. I am ready to date ....but if you know me you know this!
5. I can appear as a toughie but I am very sensitive, I guess it is a wall I put up.
6. I am not an animal lover.
7. Much like Joy I have seen a lot of abuse from a previous husband. I have spoke on Domestic Violation. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, do something in your community to help out.

Fall is here and I love this cool weather! Not so ready for the freezing cold but I do like it like this.
Friday evening Jacob and I had dinner at American Pie with the Hopkin's & the French's....it was a nice visit and I enjoyed all the kiddos.
After getting back home I got a call from a friend that was out of town to move the body of a dead ferret, so here we go 2 single mothers with our children on a mission...lol yes it was wrapped by the vet but this was wierd on a cold evening with a full moon....
Saturday I got up and cooked fpr Jacob and made a big pot o' chili. We picked up Jacob's friend Matt and went to Leah's for the game. Matt stayed over and we just kind of relaxed. It was a nice weekend and I did not take one single picture..amazing I know!
Have a great week! I am still waiting to hear back from the interim principal on last week's ordeal where Jacob got hit...not happy with what he said on Friday.
