City of LR Employee Picnic~ most of my pictures are from before as I was busy during. There was lots to do~Kickball tournament, basketball tournament, bingo, blow up bounce house thingies, snow cones, cotton candy, adpot a pet, Fire Fighters, Swat Team , etc.
Everything went very smooth. We had committee t-shirts this year :)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a very relaxing day for both of us, we were both exhausted fom the picnic the day before. We did not do much but we did have dinner with Carrie and the kids.
Jacob is so thoughful, Marsha took him shopping last week and he had picked out things for me by himself. He got me this swan neck massager, I constantly ask him to rub my shoulders, I have lots of damage to my collar bone from the surgeries and I think he is saving himself some work...ha! And a card that played Girls Just Want To Have Fun, some bubble bath, and a fancy nail file.

We got these balloons and candles at work last Friday, such a nice treat!

Just yesterday I told Carrie as she was showing me this huge basket of Estee Lauder make up that she won..."I never win anything"

Glad it was not on there yesterday when the wierd guy asked for my phone number in traffic on my way home, thennnn he pulled over, thennnn he followed for a bit. I took a side road and was outta there ha!

Athletic Banquet~

Last night was Jacob's end of the year athletic banquet, it was nice. They had a catered bbq dinner and then gave out certificates. Jacob was ready to bounce after 7th grade football so this we did...why because he had some plumbing to do obviously....

Jacob calls me yesterday afternoon to tell me about this eco friendly kit thingie he got from his science teacher, Mom it has a new shower head, a new faucet head for the kitchen sink, and doo hickey to tell you when to change your air filter, eco light bulb, etc. Well he went to work and by 9:00 I had water everywhere and a mess, was the homework done, no?!?! Thanks teach!

Oh and the new shower head made me feel like I was drowning this morning.

update: I am thinking maybe 10-12 people live in this tiny house...

they do not have a dryer!!! This was the view as Jamie and I sat on my back patio last week...this makes me gringe, especially when they have been there for 4 days, yes the same clothes. I know I could just as easily be without a dryer, but take it in when dry, and um hellooooo it is raining...

The weekend was good, all that was missing was a boat. Dang at the rain!!
As I mentioned below Friday night was beer pong at Leah's, I love my Gadwall's girls. Oh and my dentist was there, a little odd but it was nice to meet his family.

Saturday Jacob had a party at Playtime Pizza then a sleep over. I might have took a 4 hour nap that afternoon, mainly because of the rain and maybe recovering from beer pong. I never even played so not sure what happened...lol

Sunday was a total chill day for us.

Tonight is Jacob's end of the year Athletics Banquet. I think it will be loooooong, dinner and awards for all sports not just football....

Jacob and I had dinner at Gadwall's last night, a favorite of ours, then it was the dreaded shoe hunt!!
We have often fought over shoe choices, Jacob always wants a skater shoe and of course those things are left unlaced and just look unkept to me. And I keep telling him you are not even a skater....
Yes I have given in on numerous occassions and the last pair were 90 bucks. Guess what, this time Momma was NOT budging.....pick an athletic shoe or wear the old ones. It was simple this time and I was pleased, this was the 2nd pair he tried on and he liked. Of course I had to have a pair as well because they were buy one get one 1/2 off =)
Marsha and I walked later....and today is Friday for me woo hooo!

I have been saying for 5 years now that this dead tree in my backyard needed to come down. It was never a pressing issue but it was there. Yesterday Matt & Jacob were mowing for me and I saw Jacob pushing on the tree and it was moving, not a little but a LOT, I asked him to keep on and this was the end result....muscle men haha!

Now to cut it and get it out of there.

Weekend was nice, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, and some good visits with good friends!

~I think I have hit a record, one whole work week and I have not taken one single photo. I told you I would be boring this week, and yep plan to be this weekend too! I do see some patio time in the evenings.

~House = a wreck, so I spent last night cleaning my room, took everything out of the closet and wiped the baseboards and such. I now have a pile and I mean a PILE in my living room to take the Salvation Army. One room at a time, Jacob's is next =)

~I missed Grey's because I was tanning, actually I just forgot until 9:05, just the luck.

Top Chef is in town. The truck was kind of cool.

Ouch! My arm is so sore, yesterday while one nurse was drawing blood another was giving me a shot with a BIG needle, and really do we have to be doing these things at the same time??? seperate arms?? geez!

Jacob's ACT score came in, he did pretty good for a 7th grader and will be much more prepared his senior year by knowing what to expect.

This week and next are pretty laid back for us and I guess that is to get us ready for a busy May.

I want flowers to plant, lots of them!!

Saw the new doc this morning, I must say I loved her and we are on the road to some resolution, more test to wait on but getting there.

Kim and I ordered some bumpits, they came in today....you know you want some =)

And guess what I found last night...a White Lion cd...jealous? I know...lol

Friday night Jennifer and I went to see Four On The Floor play at the Rev Room. This is a group of guys that we went to high school with. Yep we were groupies back then...lol just kidding.
