Be Mine~

Sunday afternoon we made cupcakes and cake balls with Jennifer and the girls.

So much for all of Jacob's plans for the weekend. We spent Friday night at the e.r. until 3 a.m. and let me just tell you, the e.r. in the middle of the night is a freak show!! Jacob has a light pnuemonia and was tested for pertusis (whooping cough). We will not get the results until Monday but the doc did decide to treat him for it either way as she thinks the test will be positive. He has coughed like nothing I have ever seen before!
I called and rescheduled the ACT for April and have spent the weekend nursing a sick kiddo.
I DID however get my car back with no fuel leak, yay!!

The happenings at our house have been this.....

Blood pressure readings daily because Jacob's bp is high.... And he feels like this ....I know he does!

Poor guy I know it stinks! He has coughed and coughed and coughed for 3 days now and yes this is something I begged to the doc at ACH to treat but noooooo ride it out, NOT! They never lsiten do they?

I just hope he feels better for the ACT tomorrow, I wanted to reschedule but he said take it, so we shall see.

He has so much scheduled this weekend~ ACT, UALR game w/Clayton, birthday party @ the park and a sleep over.....and he was so excited! Go away cough & cold!

~does it really take all morning for an appointment at ACH? Yes, yes, yes it does!!! Ugh and a resident that asked jacob about his headache 15 times, as my sister wanted to scream at him "it's a SINUS HEADACHE" but we both refrained from screaming at him...lol. He was new, way to new for me!

~car will not be ready until this weekend so I am a foot all week, if you are just waiting to give us a ride please call..ha!
car's ARE a necessity!!!! Thanks to each of you for the transport thus far.

~The Bachelor, Molly has been my choice and she is still hanging on, I do wish she would take down the pony tail more often..ha

I have often wondered why in the world it takes my blog so long to load....a coworker pointed out that I have a million things that must load up first. So I am counting on you, my fellow bloggers, to tell me how to get these things in order by the year, you know the links on the side for 2007, 2008 etc.

poor guy

Jacob was in a lot of pain with a back ache last night from some bench pressing in gym. I had him take a hot bath, then gave him a back rub THEN I used this.....

Well like an idiot I squirted this on his back (a LOT of it) acting like it was some Bath & Body Sweet Pea or something....I rubbed and rubbed and OH MY I set the poor child on fire! Warning ~never use too much of this ;) it only takes a little!!

He is at home today on the heating pad and I at work, we were under our inclement weather policy so we came in at 10:00, anxious to see what morning brings...be safe!

Weekend stuff~ my car well she is sick, gotta get that thing repaired next weekend, not a good diagnosis.

Jacob and Brett went to the Big Buck Classic on Saturday and Jacob had a blast! Thanks Brett for taking him. And he bought yet another air soft gun and new pellets for it only these are white so now I will be picking up white pellets instead of green. I find them EVERYWHERE even in the garbage disposal..lol
Also a baton folded up in that pouch on his hip and yes that is a blow gun, it can use these lovely spears, paintballs, or just some plastic things that DO NOT feel good when you accidentally shoot your Mom in the head =) boys!!

Oh and a head light, I guess that is what you call it~ I really just wanted to show of these pretty blue eyes... and I must not forget the fish key chain Jacob bought for me =)

This will be the Superbowl choice for us. The Steelers are Jacob's favorite team. POLAMALU!!!

~The week has been a little busy, I was off Monday for the Holiday and then Wednesday for some personal things, I got my hair did =) added some darker highlights and it is stripey as I like to call it. Maybe some pics this weekend.

~Jacob has plans for the Big Buck Classic this weekend. Poor kid wishes he lived in the country and could hunt and fish year round. I think I should make this a prerequisite of my future man friend ha!

~Working on a date for my surgery and maybe looking at 2/19. Makes me nervous....

~Grey's, wow is all I can say. It started with the same head banging that it ended with last week. And um I am just having issues of how I tell Jacob that he can't watch it anymore, I mean come on he is hooked like me. But try explaining Alex's problem to a 12 year old *sigh*

Tell me why Izzy gets to meet my mil? Not fair! No seriously, why did Grey's end with that death row guy banging his head on the bed, that was a bit MUCH!!! But I think I do agree that he should be able to give the boy his organs, it should be his choice.
Derek is not usually that hot to me, last night.....he was.
Cristina really gets on my nerves, just saying.

My weekend included chillaxin, bloody mary's, good friends, and not much else, it was a well deserved restful weekend~

And this was the cause of the electrical problem...after work Trish & one of her wonderful friends followed me home to assist. We narrowed it down to an outlet in Jacob's room being the main for both rooms and when we unscrewed the cover it was sparking, scarey~
So Jacob and I stopped for dinner with Carrie and the kids (thanks bunches) then we headed to Home Depot and I replaced the outlet, YAY!! Costing me $2.99


p.s. ACH never called back so I have taken another route and hopefully we will have an "appointment" soon for an x-ray.

I am thinking that I am going to get to handle anything and everything the first week of January 2009 and just get it out of the way. As of last night I have no power in my room nor Jacob's. Poof just gone~ looking for an electrician now.

We spent 3 1/2 hours at ACH this morning and still no xray of the wrist. For those of you that know me, know that I did not leave without sharing my thoughts and now waiting on a call from administration.

Calgon!!!

The Science project is complete! YAY!! As you can see we are back in the swing of things after the holidays and back wearing contacts. But also a wrist brace, we have an appt in the morning to see what is wrong. Falling from an 8 ft fence will make the already hurting wrist hurt more. No it is not broken or I would not be waiting.
Jacob fell when he was with the boys for 2 days, but he had a blast as always!

NYE was nice and quite at home with Jacob & Deven. Well maybe a little hectic with the pizza I burnt and the smoke alarms going off but we rang in the New Year on our way to bed, or I DID, the boys were still awake partying at 6:00 the next morning.

This weather is strange, one day your running heat and the next you want to turn on the air. Either way I have been going to the gym =)
Oh and facebook, my goodness at the people you reconnect with, wow!
And how in the world did I miss the Bachelor, who knows but I did.

I have been kidnapped by a 12 year old and a science project. Hope to be back soon! Until then stay warm and dry~

Over the Holiday's I was able to hang out with Jennifer, (my best friend from high school my real partner in crime..haha) twice. We spent last Friday without kids and then spent Sunday with the kids. We had a great time, and yes we may have acted a little high schoolish on Friday...lol Jacob, Jennifer, Savannah & Sydney

A New Year on it's way

This rainbow was over my house 2 days after Christmas and it made me stop for a minute and think, 2008 was great and 2009 will be even better! Jacob and I both had a good year this year and have a lot to look forward to. I learned a lot this year and had some great guidance from some great friends!
I have some goals, not going to call them resolutions this year, just goals and I do plan to meet them.

Oh and this is the end result of an XBOX 360 and a wirless controller~love you man!
