The Zoo...it was such a pretty day for the Zoo. I think most of the animals were sleeping or better yet sun bathing.

Spring break was nice and relaxing. Jacob and Deven had a lot of video game time. Not sure what type of exercise the kids are doing here with the exercise ball but hey whatever works. This was the day we saw Alvin & The Chipmunks. Now that was cute movie!

Busy as a bee

Michele and the boys were here again and we had a great time. The boys actually stay on the 4 wheelers and in the mud and Michele and I get to play. Easter morning we cooked for the boys and when they showed up they were still covered in mud, fun times.

Baskets for the boys, Jacob's basket had his Wild River Country season pass.

Jacob also had baseball practice Saturday afternoon, before heading to 89 raceway. I love this picture, paying attention =)

Michele and I were able to have girl time both Friday & Saturday night and also get a pedi.

What would a trip to Arkansas be w/o a trip to jail....JUST KIDDING, but the posing was funny.

Michele will be back today after her week in Vegas, lucky duck! She will stay with me this weekend and I guess we will get out amongst the NCAA crowds.

Jacob was very thankful when he woke up this morning because it was Friday and he is on Spring Break next week (we will get to spend most of it together) and we have had a very busy week.

I attended a funeral yesterday for a high school friend, actually junior high. I have not seen most of these girls since my mother's funeral (18 yrs ago) and it was a bit emotional. I heard over and over how much I looked like my mother or how I talked like her, etc. This is a great compliment but I think I cried from the time I left the funeral until 7:00 last night.

March Madness

I filled out my 2 brackets for work, wish me luck. The winner gets to pick what charity we will give the winnings to! I hope I am the winner, I had some good help ;)
I also finished Valerie Bertinelli's autobiogrpahy, I do recommend it

Jacob and I had dinner with Katie last night at the Olive Garden. Katie is in town on Spring Break. We got to see her on Spring Break last year also, maybe they can get together each year. Katie and Jacob were (step) brother & sister for a long time. These two met when jacob still wore diapers =)

Note that she is taller than me now, geez time flies!

Any way you slice it this was a bit emotional....

I left out the Mexican Chicken pics in a post below....when I say we cooked Mexican Chicken I mean a ton of it. We could have fed an army, actually we did..lol

Busy , busy

Michele made it in just as I had finished a workout. We dropped off Jacob with the boys and Michele, Terri and myself headed to Gadwall's. Terri had a softbal tournament on Saturday.

Jacob spent the weekend riding, and more riding.

Saturday Michele and I cooked mexican chicken and took it out to the boys.

Then we headed out with Joe for a little dancing =)

Michele wanted to buy Jacob his baseball bat, here he is trying it out with a few swings. THANKS MICHELE!!! Picking out a bat was a complicated task ;)

Last week I joined Richard & Mark at Rumba after work for some Mojito's on the patio, the weather was so nice!

Michele will be here today from Oklahoma, and I am excited. Guess I will have to drag her to the gym with me, boy I offer up a lot of fun for a out of town guest...lol The boys will be here too, which means Jacob will get to 4 wheel and ride dirt bikes, etc. He loves to hang out with the boys!

That cheap phone I bought last year had been through enough....it would just shut off on me at any given time. I got this one yesterday and I love it! My favorite color green =)

And you called me OCD??? Seriously this is the spare bedroom in my house. I do not even know where to begin, but it is pretty much my only storage area. HELP I need suggestions, I need shelving and containers and paint and a lot of things.Here sits tanning bed I sold months ago and they will not come get it so it is going to the curb this weekend, no more threats, it is outta there ;)

The 1st baseball practice went well. Coach is stern and means business, but Jacob likes him.
He has coached both high school and college ball so he knows what he is doing =)

R.I.P. Hermie

Some of you may remember Hermie, the crab we brought back from Gulf Shores...well he went to crab heaven.

I bought this book on Sunday while Kim and I were out doing some shopping, Target is a must for us.....
I can not put this book down. I like Valerie Bertinelli and of course I like Van Halen, this is a MUST READ. Some of you know I am not much of a reader, so this is new to me and I am liking it.
This book is inspiring me, no I have not ever been married to a Rock Star, but I have dreamed about it ;) specifically Joe Elliott from Def Leppard, gosh I am getting old!
Saturday I increased my treadmill to 40 minutes, oh goodness I am still very sore and my shints have been killing me, work it out girl, work it out!!!
Saturday night I had dinner and drinks with Denise & Ronnie, who do you think drank all the margarita's.
